Dear Friends,
Many thanks for all your generous messages and tokens of friendship for David and all those close to him.
We received all your messages and forwarded them with much emotion and gratitude.
We are starting the academic year in a strange way, without David, our David, your David.
We miss him, just as so many of you miss him too.
Before taking leave of us, David expressed his will that the vision and the values he fought for should continue to exist and develop after him.
Now, after the sadness and grief, it is time for us to get back to work, to pursue the implementation of his ideas and of the projects he cherished :
- With the support of Francine Shapiro, the “Institut Français d’EMDR” (French Institute for EMDR) continues to offer training courses and seminars in EMDR, in cooperation with the “Association EMDR France” (French EMDR association).
- The research project on cancer with the MD Anderson Cancer Center continues, thanks to Lorenzo Cohen.
- The web site www.guerir.org which David launched to help patients and families is now run by the team of the association “Les Amis de Guerir”
- The “Institut de Médecine Intégrée” (institute of Integrated Medicine) continues to offer training on complementary therapeutic approaches that are supported by scientific research demonstating their effectiveness (Cardiac Coherence, stress management, communication techniques…)
Each of you can also contribute in your own way, e.g. by sharing information on the www.guerir.org website, by offering your patients the methods in which David believed (EMDR, cardiac coherence…), by supporting the cancer research project of MD Anderson or the humanitarian actions of the HAP associations, by getting involved in research…
From now on, it is our duty, your duty to herald these messages
